Bukola Bolaji who is an artisan appeared before a magistrate court in Akure for allegedly defrauding the commissioner of police identified as Mr Abiodun Asabi of N300,000.
Inspector Simon Wada, the police prosecutor had earlier informed the court that this crime was committed on December 15th 2023. Going further he revealed that the defendant collected the money to construct 12 casement aluminum windows for the complainant, which he did not do.
The counsel of the defendant Mrs. R.O. Omosile told the court to grant the defendant bail in liberal terms, saying that her client, under the law, was presumed innocent until otherwise proven. Mrs. R.O promised that her client will always present himself in court if called.
The case was adjourned till March 15 for hearing by the Magistrate, Mr Damilola Sekoni.
