It’s no doubt that the residents of Owerri has gotten fully aware of the crimes committed by the officers of the Tiger Base Police Unit. The Tiger Base Officers are known to illegally extort youths in Imo State, kidnap and detain them for no crime committed.
After weeks of calling out the government of Imo State to #shutdowntigerbase the youths in the city has decided to embark on a PEACEFUL protest to show their pains. According to a post made by the popular My Owerri Blog (MOB) on their official Instagram page, if the government does not do something.
Going further, the person behind the blog MOB addressed Tiger Base sayin “Tiger Base, I know you’re helplessly looking for MOB. When we come out for a peaceful protest on the 19th of December 2025, please arrest and detain us. Show the world your level of tyrannical behavior.”
The PEACEFUL protest is scheduled to take place on the 19th of of December 2025 ad the youths are set to gather at the Assumota Flyover, Owerri and walk to Government House, Owerri all in black attire by 7am.
