Transgender Women Banned From Women’s And Girl’s Cricket In England And Wales

Wales Cricket Board has confirmed that transgender women has been banned from participating in all levels women’s cricket with immediate effect. According to the board, only those who are biologically females are allowed to participate.

This change in rules is coming after UK Supreme Court ruled the legal definition of women was based on biological sex. Recall that in November 2023, the International Cricket council declared that  transgender women who had experienced male puberty were banned from taking part in international women’s matches.
