Finally President Bola Tinubu has revealed why he introduced the Student Loan bill which was signed into law last wednesday in the presence of the leaders and key members of the National Assembly.
According to the president, he introduced it so as to help Nigerian children get a brighter future, escape poverty and provide better opportunities. The president while hosting the members of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and the Independent Campaign Council to at the State House in Abuja expressed that the only thing that can eradicate poverty is education.
Mr president said;
“Today, I signed the bill for the Student Loan Scheme. Imagine the children of the poor; what about people going through the mud, fishing in the ponds? How do you tell their children that their future will be brighter? It is only through education that we can fight poverty. A promising future awaits our children.”
Going further he spoke about the Nation’s economy and he encouraged the citizens that the economy is being piloted onto a sustainable growth for Nigerian families in all parts of the country.
