The Rivers state polie has arrested a man identified as Richard Emmanuel for allegedly beating his girlfriend to death, this tragic incident took place at Abraham Street, Eneka community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, July 11.
It was reported that the man who is 30 years old was in a heated argument with his lover identified as Caroline Sunday, over infidelity accusation. According to neighbors the suspect confronted the deceased over claims she was che@ting on him. During the f!ght, the suspect pushed the deceased, causing her to hit her head against the sharp edge of the wall.
All attempts to revive Caroline after she was found in a pool of blood was unsuccessful, after which the police were alerted and the rushed the victim to the nearby hospital where she was confirmed dead.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Blessing Agabe confirmed to newsmen that the suspect is currently being detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Port Harcourt and will be arraigned upon the completion of police investigation.
