I wrote Shape Of You With Rihanna In My Mind – Ed Sheeran Reveals

Popular Grammy-winning British singer Ed Sheeran has revealed that he wrote Shape Of You for Rihanna and she was the inspiration behind the song.

He disclosed this during an interview with Hits Radio where he said

“Rihanna is genre-less, she can do anything. She’s the grail for songwriters. When I wrote Shape Of You, the person I was writing in my mind for was Rihanna,”

Recall that the hit song Shape Of You was released on the 6 January 2017 as track from his third studio album which he titled Divide. The song also won the award for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

Going further Ed revealed that he wrote Justin Bieber’s hit song titled Love Yourself and the song was rejected by other artistes.
