The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has spoken up about the issue of minimum wage in the country. According to him, the federation will approve the minimum wage Nigeria can afford with its present economic state.
This was made known while he was speaking at a dinner to celebrate Nigeria’s Democracy Day in the federal capital territory, Abuja on Wednesday June 12th.
While assuring the citizens of Nigeria that he will continue to stick to his promise, he appreciated those who has stood by him from day one.
In his words;
“I have to celebrate with you my dear brother, Senate President, Deputy Senate President. The minimum wage is going to be what Nigerians can afford, what you can afford and what I can afford. Cut your coat according to your size, if you have size at all.”
