Reports has it that Major General Abubakar Rabe (rtd) has died in the hands of bandits after his was abducted with his wife in Kastina two weeks ago. This was confirmed in a statement issued on Saturday 13th june by the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasiru Muazu who said the retired senior military officer d!ed from complications arising from diabetes and hypertension during his captivity.
The government revealed that he late General’s abduction and subsequent death represented a significant loss not only to his immediate family and Katsina State but also to Nigeria as a whole.
Recall that the retired major general was travelling to Katsina on Saturday, May 30, alongside his wife, Hajiya Amina Abubakar, and their driver, Abdullahi Sa’idu, when their vehicle was ambushed along the Marabar Musawa–Kafinsoli road in Matazu Local Government Area (READ HERE)
