
The Polytechnic lecturers has decided to embark on an indefinite strike to press their demands for a new salary scheme. According to the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), the indefinite strike begins today Tuesday 6th April 2021.
After an unsuccessful meeting with the Federal Government, the National President of the union Mr Anderson Ezeibe said that apart from the new salary scheme, the union is demanding payment of owed salaries by some state government.
Ezeibe added that the union will be open for dialogue with the Federal Government to resolve the issues raised.
