Diddy’s Prison Release Date Moved Up Again to February 5, 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected release date from federal prison has been moved forward again, with the music mogul now expected to leave custody on February 5, 2028.

According to the latest information from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, Combs is currently scheduled to be released from the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey on that date.

His previous projected release date was February 20, 2028, meaning the latest adjustment moves his expected release forward by more than two weeks.

Combs was convicted by a federal jury in 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.

During the trial, prosecutors alleged that Combs organised sexual encounters known as “Freak Offs,” where he allegedly watched and recorded his girlfriends engaging in sexual activity with male escorts, often in hotel rooms.

However, the jury acquitted him of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

In October 2025, a judge sentenced Combs to four years and two months in federal prison. He is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix.

Combs’ time behind bars has also reportedly been marked by disciplinary issues. He was involved in an altercation with another inmate and was subsequently placed in solitary confinement for a short period.

His projected release date has been adjusted several times since he began serving his sentence. An earlier projection had placed his release in June 2028 before it was moved to January and later adjusted to February 20 following the reported prison altercation.

The latest Bureau of Prisons information now lists February 5, 2028, as Combs’ projected release date. However, the date is not final and could be changed again depending on prison records, credits or other developments.
