Popular artiste and content creator known as 2Pac Ishakeh has taken to his X handle to react to the recent video content creator Akpi put out concerning entertainers from the southeast region of the country.
In the video, Akpi claimed that artistes from the Southeast have not achieved significant international recognition and alleged that most of their songs revolve around poverty. He also referenced the popular slang “Ogbe,” a word frequently used by many Southeast rappers in their music.
However, many social media users pointed out that Akpi appeared to misunderstand the meaning of the term, confusing “Ogbe” with “Ogbenye,” two words with entirely different meanings and cultural contexts.
Reacting to the video via his X (formerly Twitter) account, 2Pac Ishakeh did not hold back. The entertainer criticized Akpi’s comments saying that Akpi should already be regarded as a legend at his age, but his actions and remarks continue to attract unnecessary controversy.
The exchange has since sparked mixed reactions online, with fans and supporters from different regions sharing their opinions on the debate surrounding the Southeast music scene and its impact on the Nigerian entertainment industry.
