A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to call out the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after alleging that its operatives unlawfully raided her residence, causing significant damage and emotional distress.
In a now-viral video circulating online, the visibly shaken lady narrated how EFCC officials broke into her apartment without any prior notice or warrant. She claimed the operatives forcefully damaged her door, scattered her belongings, and left parts of her home in disarray.
The woman further alleged that she was slapped by one of the operatives during the chaotic raid. According to her, her male neighbors as well as her siblings were also arrested without explanation.
The video has sparked outrage across social media platforms, with many Nigerians expressing concern over the alleged abuse of power and increasing cases of aggressive EFCC operations targeting innocent citizens.
